Roles and Times
Before the Show:
- Getting show cards out all over town… as soon as they are done (likely Friday)
- Receiving work Friday + Saturday, 12-6, no exp. necisary (2-4 people each day)
- take down current show, paint, sunday, 5- completion (2 -3 strong people)
- organize, hang show Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, hours ranging from noon til late
(many people, ideally with art handling experience- previous salon-hanging an invaluable plus!)
Opening Night:
- Last minute finishing touches, labels? cleaning, set up, 3-6pm ( 3 or more would be really good! all hands on deck!)
During the opening
Each role is in a 2 or 3 hour shift, starting at 6pm, going till 12am
- Alcohol monitors: pick up empties, make sure no drinks come in or out of the space, make sure minors aren’t drinking (3 per 2 hr shift)
- Food table: keep the food looking nice, tend to trash, restock stuff (1 or 2 per 3hr shift)
- Sales: wear a name tag and make yourself available for people who want to buy, fill out paperwork & make copies, mark work sold, handle cash at the bar. (3 per 2 hr shift)
- Clean up/break down: we need a few brave souls to help shut it down at the end of the night, including sweeping, spot mop, bar shut down, sound equipment breakdown, general tidying. (2-3 solid people)
I can’t emphasize how much your help makes a difference at the end of the night!! Hang late and depressurize and help put it all back together.
After the Show:
- Taking the show back down, Sunday, November 1st, 3pm-late (wrapping sold work, organizing work that remains)
- Checking the work back out to the artists, Sunday, November 1st – Wednesday November 6, 3-6pm
- Wall repair, repaint Wednesday at around 6pm…
